For the past 33 years the Woman’s Club of Lakeside has held an annual quilt show. Quilts are entered by club quilters and the public, free of charge. Quilts are not judged but every entry gets a participation ribbon.
The show is held in early March each year, but it’s much more than just a quilt show.
Future Quilt Show Dates:
The Quilt Show in 2021 has been moved to May. This is tentative due to status of Covid-19.
In addition to over 100 beautiful quilts, it has:
Snacks – many delicious homemade desserts are available to purchase at very reasonable prices
Second Hand Rose Boutique – many new and gently used items which are donated to the Woman’s Club, such as purses, jewelry, books, household items, knick-knacks, etc. (no clothing)
Sewing Closet – anything related to sewing may be found here, again all donated so you never know what you might find. Some items we have had are fabrics, fat quarters, books, magazines, yarn, rulers, sewing tools, etc.
Opportunity Quilt – a beautiful quilt is selected each year to be raffled off. See it at the show and get your raffle tickets. Click below for 2020 flyer with photo of this year's red, white, and blue quilt.
Boutique of Homemade Items – quilts, aprons, potato bags, table runners, all made by sewing members of the Woman’s Club
Craft Booths – a small area is set aside for outside crafters to display and sell their crafts
Door Prizes – when you come to our show you will receive a free door prize ticket for one of the 3-4 door prizes we have. Maybe you will be a lucky winner.
All this for a mere $5.00 admission and all proceeds benefit community and school service projects.
